Steve from Coape-Arnold Removals had been running his business successfully for 25 years but had never invested in a website. When we reached out, we introduced ourselves as a local team that could help him with his marketing and invited him to our office for a coffee to discuss his goals.

For a brand-new website on a domain that has never been recognized by Google, it usually takes time to gain traction and start seeing results. However, because Steve had already built a well-established business with a strong reputation over the years, we noticed that people were already searching for him online—even before he had a website.
This meant that as soon as the site went live, it immediately started working for him, providing an easy way for potential customers to find him, learn more about his services, and get in touch effortlessly.

Lessons We Learned
Steve was one of our first clients when we launched The Search Hawk, and his trust in us meant a lot. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity he gave us—not just to prove ourselves, but to show the local community that we could genuinely help businesses like his succeed online.
One of the biggest lessons we took from this experience was the power of face-to-face conversations. In the digital marketing industry, trust is often a major barrier. The low cost of entry means there are countless agencies out there, ranging from highly skilled teams to those delivering poor results. This creates confusion for business owners, especially those like Steve, who have relied on traditional marketing and referrals for years.
If his first experience with an agency had been negative, he likely would have written off online marketing altogether. But because he could visit us in person, have open conversations, and see who he was working with, it helped build real trust in an industry that often feels unreliable.
